I hold Social Work Clinical licensure through New York State. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland.
I have completed level one of Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory through the IFS Institute. I have post-graduate training in Family and Couples Therapy from Ackerman Institute for the Family. I am currently enrolled in the Advanced Clinical Supervision Certificate program at Smith College School of Social Work.
Much of my therapeutic work is informed by my trainings in IFS and the Ackerman Relational Approach. Additionally, I have knowledge and trainings in: Suicide Assessments & Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Clinical Supervision
I am a licensed clinical social worker in New York City, where I provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy services from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens.
I have experience supervising a team of school-based clinicians who provide individual therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Prior to that, I worked as a school-based clinician providing services to Latinx middle school students and the surrounding Latinx community in North Brooklyn. I have trained school staff and administrators on various topics including teen relationship abuse, racism and oppression in the school system, trauma-informed classrooms, and inclusive language. I have experience working as a clinician with individuals and families.
I am passionate about working with young people, hearing their stories, and helping them build healthier relationships with themselves and with others. I am passionate about working within my Latinx community to destigmatize mental health services in communities of color.
